Workshop

First anniversary of the european medical on-call service

The European medical on-call service number 116117 was first introduced in Germany in 2012. To date more than three million patients have benefited from its non-emergency medical assistance service. First steps have been taken in several countries to establish a European number for harmonized services of socialvalue.

The German Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians held a workshop with experts from Austria, Estonia, Sweden, Norway, Belgium and Germany to present key findings following the implementation of 116117 in Germany and to discuss best practice and future challenges.
